Pilates that meets
your body where it is.
Private and small group training across downtown Chicago — for bodies coming back from injury, and bodies that want to do more.
How it works
It starts with what your body is actually doing.
Every client begins with an assessment — a look at how you move now, where you're compensating, and what's holding you back. Nothing comes off a template. What gets built from there is yours: your history, your goals, and the particular way your body is put together.
The method
Get strong in a way your body agrees with.
Kristin trains in the Polestar Pilates method, which grew out of physical therapy and is used in clinical settings. It's built around assessment rather than a fixed routine — which makes it good at two things in particular.
The first is picking up where physical therapy leaves off. Most people finish PT cleared to move but not quite sure how, and that gap is where old problems come back. The second is finding the weak link in a body that's already strong — the recurring tweak, the side that never fully returned, the thing you've been training around instead of through.
Who she works with
Bodies with a history are welcome here.
- People finishing physical therapy who are ready for the next stage of movement.
- Anyone carrying an old injury, or a spot that never quite came back.
- Athletes who'd rather resolve a recurring limit than keep working around it.
- Anyone who needs instruction delivered differently — shown, described, or guided by hand. Cueing adapts to you, not the other way around.

Introduction & assessment
New to Pilates, or new to the reformer? Kristin looks at how you move, talks through your history and what you're after, and gets you working on the equipment — so you leave having done Pilates, not just having been measured.
Already have a practice? Go straight into a private or a group session. The assessment still happens; it just happens while you work.
Private
One to one, fully tailored. The fastest progress, and the right place to start if you're coming back from something. 30 or 60 minutes.
Duet
Two people, shared attention, lower cost per session. Good with a partner or a friend at a similar stage. 30 or 60 minutes.
Small group
Group size depends on the studio, and stays small enough that everyone is still cued individually.
Expect strength, balance, endurance, mindful movement — and maybe a few insta-worthy poses along the way.
Locations
Let's meet by you.
Kristin teaches at studios across downtown Chicago, with other locations available on request. Train wherever is easiest to get to — near the office, near home, on the way to either.
The studio gets matched to the work, too. Different spaces have different apparatus, so if what you're working on calls for a tower or a particular setup, that shapes where you meet.
Rates vary by location. Tell Kristin where you are and what you're working on, and she'll send pricing for the spaces that fit.
About
About Kristin
Kristin came to Pilates as a practitioner first — using it to build performance and to recover from the demands of an active life. Then friends started asking. What began as answering questions about form, and about coming back from their own injuries, turned into a real love of teaching.
Her sessions are challenging and supportive at once: honest work, with room for the particular body doing it. The aim is strength, mobility, and a clearer sense of what's actually happening when you move — habits that hold up outside the studio, not just in it.
She is certified through NASM, ASFA and FiTOUR, and is currently completing comprehensive certification with Polestar Pilates — with a focus on movement assessment, injury prevention, and rehabilitation principles.
Pilates is for everyBODY looking to build strength, resilience, and confidence through movement.
